Owner Oiled — End User License Agreement
Effective: March 12, 2026
Owner Oiled ("the App") is proprietary software created by Richard Scafidi ("the Author"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the following terms.
Grant of License
The Author grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the App or any part of it
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the App — including its code, design, branding, and documentation — remain with the Author. This license does not transfer any ownership rights.
Your Data
You retain full ownership of any data you enter into the App. The App stores data locally on your device and does not transmit it to the Author or any third party. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Author does not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Author shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to missed maintenance, vehicle damage, or data loss.
Vehicle Maintenance Disclaimer
The App is a record-keeping and reminder tool. It does not provide professional mechanical advice. The Author is not responsible for the accuracy of maintenance procedures, recall information, or any actions taken based on information presented in the App. Always consult a qualified mechanic for vehicle safety concerns.
Termination
This license is effective until terminated. The Author may terminate it at any time if you breach these terms. Upon termination, you must stop using and delete all copies of the App.
Changes
The Author may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
